摘要：

The increasing role of Information Technology (IT) to support any aspect of the business has recently created many concerns to be referred to the need of achieving IT alignment to business strategy. Many ideas about the role of IT in the organizations have been proposed by researchers. This work analyzes different contributions to the topic, proposing the Information Systems (IS) perspective to understand the phenomenon. In addition, evidences from an empirical research on the management of IT security strategy is given. The management of IT security through the IS strategy can allow the organization to reach some advantage on competitors, as long as routines or isomorphic behaviors do not imperfectly affect the strategic IT use.
