摘要
In this paper an advanced form of inter-vehicle communication (IVC), called boomerang communication, which uses direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS), is presented. The proposed system is an asynchronous, independent communication method that utilizes sector antennas for the first time with DS/SS IVC. Previous papers have neglected to explain some of the problems with boomerang communication, such as prolonged packet collisions when omnidirectional antennas are used. The proposed system, overcomes these problems by the use of sector antennas. This is confined by computer simulation. With increased reliability shown by the proposed system a decrease in vehicular accidents and more intelligent traffic pow can be expected.
