D1→D0 and D2→D0 transitions of the jet-cooled p-chlorobenzyl radical

摘要
The jet cooled p-chlorobenzyl radical has been generated with a He carrier gas from p-chlorotoluene in a corona excited supersonic expansion. The vibronic emission spectrum in the transitions of D-1(1(2)A(2)) --> D-0(1(2)B(2)) and D-2(2(2)B(2)) --> D-0(1(2)B(2)) of the p-chlorobenzyl radical has been recorded with a long-path monochromator. The spectrum exhibits well-resolved vibronic structure from which the vibrational frequencies in the ground electronic state have been accurately determined. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
