Offering the English courses in medical education is one of the demands and means to improve the English abilities of the medical students, enhance the professional English learning of the medical students, and cultivate the international talents. However, at present, there are common problems in the medical English teaching such as the lack of the teaching staff, the deficiency of the teachers' abilities, and the students' lack of the medical professional knowledge, learning interests and the pressure and so on. We should cultivate the qualified teachers, optimize the teaching contents, carry out a variety of the teaching methods, use the multimedia and other teaching means, stimulate the interests in learning of the students, timely communicate with the students, and improve the English teaching, which are the better countermeasures, and is conducive to the improvement of the teaching quality of the medical English courses.
