Based on the requirements of a certain type of passenger car from wheel distance widening 80mm, the paper deals with the modeling of double wish bone torsion bar spring front suspension by ADAMS virtual prototyping technology, and comparative analysis includes suspension performances before and after widening front wheel distance by simulation. Finally, the minimum of absolute tire lateral slippage is designed as objective function, and suspensions are optimized after widening front wheel distance. It is found that suspension kinematics characteristic is reasonable and that suspension improved design can meet the requirement after widening front wheel distance.
