Electrical and magnetic properties of transition metal oxides Ln1-xAxMO3 (Ln = Pr, Nd; A = Ca, Sr; M = Mn, Co)

摘要
The low temperature electrical and magnetic properties of the polycrystalline perovskite systems Ln(1-x)A(x)MO(3) with Ln = Pr, Nd; A = Ca, Sr and M = Mn, Co were studied as a function of the average size of the A-site cations < r(A)> and of the cation size variance sigma(2). The cobaltites Pr(0.7)A(0.3)CoO(3) keep some reminiscences of the electrical and magnetic properties of the manganites Pr(0.7)A(0.3)MnO(3), but they behave differently as a function of the doping ions. Sr substitution for Ca in Nd0.5Ca0.5MnO3 induces FM regions in an AFM background and the phase separation state can be controlled by doping.
