Mechanical Properties Optimization of AlSi12CuMgNi Alloy by Heat Treatment

摘要
Aim of this work is to do divers heat treatment for AlSi12CuMgNi alloy as a temper hardening (artificial ageing) with different temperatures of purpose to acquire the best mechanical properties (breaking limit and creep limit in comparison with required dilatability min. 7-8%). Further aims are to search exchanges in material substructure for several heat conditions, to compare them with reached mechanical values and with influence of form and character of receiving chip on the machining under the same conditions. From heat treatment view and strength properties, influence for this Al2Cu3Ni alloy is some important intermetallic compound phase marked as the T-phase, which makes precipitates stable at higher temperatures to the 300 degrees C too. Cu and Mg presence also makes intermetallic compound CuMgAl2, which participates in the strength properties increase after heat treatment. The chip generation experiment is performed for every temperature regime of test. The chip generation is the best for temperature regime 140 degrees C and 180 degrees C/10 hours (type of chip-group A).
