摘要：

This paper aims to introduce the breadth of wildlife research and management in Indonesia. First we would like to draw a rough sketch, or an overview, of the wildlife management infrastructure in Indonesia. State of knowledge and management will be summarised, and followed by a brief description of special cases of hunting. Eventually we will consider the legal framework and discuss some areas for improvement.
