摘要
The brake drum is inevitably accompanied with vibration during its operation process, so it is particularly important to study its dynamic characteristics. In this paper, the modal analysis of the brake drum was carried out, and the first 12th natural frequencies and associated shapes of vibration were computed. In addition, the probable resonance risk and design hidden troubles were pointed out, which offered references for the heavy-scale brake drum design and manufacture as well as improved the quality of the brake system
