The possibility of surface nanostructuring of metal wares by a flexible elastic tool (rotating wire brushes (RWBs)) is investigated. It is established that a thin layer of the amorphized material is formed on a surface under definite treatment modes and a texture most acute in surface layers is formed. Simultaneously with hardening of the surface layer, functional coatings of various indentations from 3-5 to 40-45 mu m thick can be deposited using the RWBs.
