摘要
The design and optimization of corrugated horn antenna which combining horizontal and vertical corrugations in X band for satellite applications is presented in this paper. The effect of the dimension of corrugated waveguide is studied through using mode matching method (MMM). Compared with the general horn antenna, this horn antenna has lower cross polarization which is below -30 dB in the 45 degrees plane relative to the linearly polarized field vector from the transmitting antenna during the wide angle and its' fractional bandwidth is over 40%.
