摘要
The following paper presents a significant advance in the study of the interdiffusion between Zr-2.5wt%Nb and ASTM 410 martensitic grade stainless steel by means of LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) technique. Both materials are very important in the nuclear industry. Interdiffusion profiles show a slow diffusion of Zr and Nb in the steel matrix, as well as a fast diffusion of Fe, C and Cr in the matrix of the Zr-base alloy. Also, the formation of intermetallic phases was observed by scanning electron microscopy. In addition, diffusivity values of Cr and Fe in the Zr-based alloy were determined at 900 degrees C.
