摘要
Inertial electrostatic confinement of ions has been successfully used to achieve conditions necessary for the fusion of advanced fuels, such as He-3. This type of device at the University of Wisconsin was the first to produce steady-state (DHe)-He-3 fusion, and has since produced up to 7 x 10(6) 14.7 MeV proton/s from the (DHe)-He-3 fusion reaction. The factors influencing the reaction rate and the experimental results are discussed.
