Stress-strain model for fibre reinforced polymer confined load-induced damaged concrete

摘要
Externally wrapping concrete columns with fibre reinforced polymer is considered to be an effective way for enhancing the strength and ductility of concrete columns that are damaged due to extreme events such as earthquakes, blast attacks and vehicle impacts. However, the stress-strain relation of fibre reinforced polymer repaired load-induced damaged concrete is still within very limited. As the axial resistance and deformation of damaged concrete columns can be significantly increased by using lateral confinement by fibre reinforced polymer and a structure strengthened before damage could behave much differently from that strengthened after damage, extensive efforts should be devoted to investigate the mechanical performance of fibre reinforced polymer repair load-induced damaged concrete columns. This paper has thus developed a stress-strain model for fibre reinforced polymer confined damaged concrete based on an existing test database. The correctness and accuracy of the model are finally verified and evaluated by the database.
