摘要
Stronger magnetic moment with fewer electrons: An α-Keggin-type {Mn13} single-molecule magnet (SMM) was synthesized and subsequently oxidized (see picture); its one- and two-electron-oxidized derivatives could be isolated. The spin ground states of the more oxidized species are higher despite the electron loss, resulting in amplification of the SMM properties. Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
