Influence of nucleating agents on the melting behavior of isotactic polypropylene

摘要
The equilibrium melting temperature (T(m)degrees) of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) was studied by DSC technique for samples with different nucleating agents including calcium carbonate(CA), terephthalic acid(DB) and glutaric acid(WA). The (T(m)degrees) values of alpha-modification iPP crystals obtained for samples with different nucleating agents were found to be within a narrow temperature range of 488 similar to 492K, almost independent on the nucleating agents.
