摘要
The determination of phase boundary due to perturbation in basal heat flux and plume temperature has been discussed for a one-dimensional lithosphere thinning problem. The nonlinear problem is solved using a Fourier series method and stiffness arising in the system is removed by Melamed method. Various heat flux are chosen to demonstrate the effect on the moving front with and without plume temperature and time taken by the moving phase boundary is calculated for different cases of heat variation.
