摘要
The violence (whether justifiable posterity may decide) of the language used regarding yeast genetics can only be paralleled in connection with the differences of opinion between Soviet workers and those of most other countries on general genetics. '-and his colleagues have come to presumptuous conclusions as a result of their superficial investigations' is a typical example. No one who has not worked on yeast genetics can presume to judge in this matter. We can only be glad that it is not mixed up with politics! (J. B. S. Haldane, 1954) [127, p. 47].(2)
