摘要
Polar Mesosphere Summer Echoes (PMSE) are very strong radar echoes from altitudes near the polar summer mesopause. PMSE have obvious layered structures, the overshoot can be caused by artificial electron heating experiments under PMSE conditions. Since 2006, National Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Environment has carried out the heating campaign for three years. Based on the data from 2006 to 2008, the different layered structures are observed, the numbers of layer change very quickly. The echo power changing with height and time is also observed. In addition, the overshoot characteristic curve (OCC) is obtained in our heating campaign too. The heating campaign may serve as the foundation for studying PMSE in the future.
