ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF CHAOTIC RESPONSES OF A CANTILEVER BEAM SUBJECTED TO SINUSOIDAL EXCITATION

摘要
With employment of a modified Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (FSMC) approach, in the present research a methodology is developed to control the chaotic responses of a laminated composite cantilever beam subjected to an external sinusoidal excitation. The 3rd order shearing effect on the responses of the beam is considered in the model establishment. The modified FSMC approach has shown significant advantages on effectively suppressing the chaotic responses of the investigated system.
