Design of Dual Wide Band Dielectric Resonator Antenna using Sierpienski Fractal Geometry

摘要
In recent times Dielectric Resonators have gained importance in designing wide band antennas due to their advantages over microstrip like low loss and high efficiency at microwave and higher frequency ranges. In this work a triangular Dielctric Resonator Antenna with Sierpienski fractal geometry is designed. This antenna has dual wide band over (6.39-7.60) GHz and (9.06-12.16) GHz which fall within C and X band of microwave frequency spectrum. It is observed that 1st iteration gives more wide band than 2nd iteration. Gain of the antenna is from 7-12 dB throughout the bands.
