摘要
A high power factor (PF) AC LED driver with current glitch eliminated is presented in this paper. The current glitch is eliminated with a soft switching operation by using a self-adaptive load resistor. Thus, its lifespan is prolonged and the PF of the AC LED driver is improved. Without any control circuit, the proposed AC LED driver is suitable for integration. The proposed AC LED driver was fabricated in a 0.25 A mu m BCD process and tested with five strings LED . The experimental results show that the PF is 0.998 (0.997) with 5.1 % (7.2 %) total harmonic distortion under 19 W 110 V/AC (220 V/AC) condition.
