摘要：

Intervention training for parents is seen as a solution to solve problems faced by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in obtaining intervention according to their needs. However, there has been skepticism towards the effectiveness of the training program in empowering parents as the sole intervention agents for their children. This present paper aims at elaborating the result of quasi experiment on the effectiveness of the intervention training program in improving social skills of children with ASD. Six parents including their children with mild ASD have been selected to become the subject of the study. The result shows that the intervention training for parents of children with ASD is effective in improving the children's social skills.
