摘要
Patients with stable coronary heart disease and indication for coronary revascularization can be very successfully treated with coronary bypass surgery. Despite, the obviously higher invasiveness of surgical revascularization are the early results very respectable and not inherently worse to PCI in typical MACCE rates. A wide spectrum of technical diversities allows for a high individualisation of procedures for the special situation of particular patients with respect to their own priorities. Although a more progressive development of PCI techniques is generally assumed also more recent studies reveal significantly better results for bypass surgery in 3-vessel disease and leftmain stemstenosis in the long termcourse. Even for elderly patients and especially for diabetics bypass surgery brings exellent long-term results and high quality of life. Structured recommendations are given in current interdisciplinary guidelines for patients who definitely rather would benefit from bypass surgery compared to other treatment options.
