摘要
With the rapid development of telecommunications, mobile terminals as bridges between users and networks have become vital entities in the communication process. However, mobile terminals of different brands or models are of varying quality, influencing their performance in practical networks. This paper proposes a novel mobile terminal evaluation scheme based on the call trace data, which truly records the operating conditions of all active terminals. The evaluation scheme investigates the mobile terminals from the perspective of both abnormal event ratio and limit EcIo, and measures terminal performance on both mean and extreme conditions. Moreover, the evaluation results are on a statistical basis, eliminating the possibility of disturbance or accidence. Thus, the results are objective and reliable, and can be used as a reference for a series of application fields, such as terminal purchasing, problem localizing, network optimizing, and so on.
