摘要：
Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, large quantities of carbon dioxide of anthropogenic origin have invaded surface ocean waters. This has a resulted in a large (2 to 5 parts per thousand) modification of the organic carbon isotopic composition of marine phytoplankton. This effect increases with increasing solubility of carbon dioxide toward higher latitudes.
