E-Learning as Cooperative Problem Based Learning (CPBL) Support Elements in Engineering Education

摘要
This paper aims to determine whether E-Learning can be applied to engineering education based on the teaching and learning model of Cooperative Problem Based Learning. This research contains two objectives which are to identify the impact of the use of E-Learning as reinforcement to students in Cooperative Problem Based Learning method and to determine whether the use of E-Learning can help faculty to assess student understanding of learning through teaching and learning methods Cooperative Problem Based Learning. This study used qualitative method which the data obtained from the interviews was described descriptively and depth by researchers. Items that were developed for collecting data purpose were undergoing reliability before use. Overall, the findings indicate that there is stimulus and encouragement of the use of E-Learning in terms of enhancing student understanding and encouraging creativity. E-Learning should have been implemented in Cooperative Problem Based Learning method through online discussion because it can improve student's understanding in learning and also can improve creativity.
