EVOLUTION OF PROTONEUTRON STARS

摘要
In this work, we present results obtained from numerical simulations of the Kelvin-Helmholtz phase of the birth of a neutron star. The neutrino transport in the interior of the star is treated in the diffusion approximation. The numerical method we use is based on a scheme in which the transport and hydrostatic equations are solved separately. We use as input an equation of state obtained with the nonlinear Walecka model. Our results show the evolution of several thermodynamical quantities inside the star.
