摘要
Preceramic polymer SiC fibres are usually circular in cross section. Polycarbosilane(PCS)-based fibres are melt spun and extruded into a wide variety of non-circular shapes. The trilobal, C-shaped, hollow, ribbonlike, pentagonal and swirl-shaped PCS fibres were prepared. These non-circular fibres were cured and pyrolyzed at the same conditions as the circular SiC fibres and the tensile strength, microstructure, electromagnetic properties and reverberation attenuation to microwave of the non-circular fibres were compared to that of circular SiC fibres. Results showed that non-circular SiC fibres have a higher tensile strength than that of the circular SiC fibres and exhibit an excellent microwave-absorbing property.
