摘要
The cutting forces estimation in machining process is mandatory for calculating the power requirements, cutting tool design and other accessories. The cutting force can be measured by a lathe tool dynamometer which is widely used in industrial practice. The principle of lathe tool dynamometers is based on the measurement of deflections or strain produced from the structure of dynamometer from the action of cutting force. This Paper deals with an analysis of Cutting forces, surface roughness and temperature while turning aluminium 6061 material using conventional lathe machine. In this study, three input parameters such as Depth of cut (d), feed rate (f) and Cutting Speed (s) are selected for the experimentation. Based on the selected input process parameters experiments were conducted using Central Composite Design. The response parameters such as resultant cutting forces (F-C), surface roughness (R-a) and cutting temperature (T-C) on selected material with variation in Depth of cut (d), feed rate (f) and Cutting Speed (s) are studied and discussed in detail.
