摘要
The role of epilames (surface active substances, namely perfluorinepolyether and other perfluorine-containing compounds) and improvement of the reliability of triboconnections (friction and frictionless bearings) are analyzed. The common nature of various commercial epilames is revealed. The mechanism of their action in retaining lubricants in the friction zone and ensuring a low friction coefficient (performing the role of an efficient solid-lubrication coating) is explained. The role of the epilame effect in the process of friction of metallofluoroplastic and other materials based on a fluoroplastic -4 (polytetrafluorineethylene) in liquid lubricating media is substantiated.
