摘要
The response of the seabed constitutes an important consideration in the planning and design of various offshore facilities. A general method is presented for the analysis of seabed response under wave action during a storm. The seabed is idealized as a pore-elastic medium filled with a single compressible fluid with anisotropic flow. The coupled process of fluid flow and deformation of soil skeleton is formulated in the general framework of Blot's theory. The semianalytical method developed by late John Booker is used. The analyses are developed for the response of both homogeneous and layered seabed under plane progressive wave as well as short-crested or standing waves in the vicinity of a structure. The characteristics of wave-induced response of seabed including these containing a gas-laden layer are outlined. Some numerical results are also presented.
