摘要
We examine the propagation of terahertz multimode in a parallel metal plate structure. In this structure, terahertz radiation propagates through the vacuum region sandwiched by two thin metal plates. At terahertz frequencies it acts as a perfect electric conductor. Different modes like transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) and multiple modes propagate which depends upon the plate separation. The TEM mode propagates with low loss. The proposed study is important in developing terahertz devices, such as sensors and modulator.
