摘要
Multiwall boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) were produced with a yield of about 50% by co-pyrolyzing NH4BF4, KBH4, and NaN3 in a temperature range from 450 to 600 degreesC. The obtained BNNTs have a diameter range of 60-350 nm and length range of 0.5-5 mum. Many BN nanocages were found coexisting with the BNNTs. The experimental results indicated that NH4BF4 plays a crucial role in the formation of BN nanotubes. The effects of other reactants were also investigated.
