Morphotropic Phase Boundary of (Bi0.9La0.1)ScO3-PbTiO3 Piezoelectric Ceramics for High-Temperature Application

摘要
(1-x)(Bi0.9La0.1)ScO3-xPbTiO(3) (x = 0.47 similar to 0.62, BLS-PT100x) were synthesized by conventional solid-state sintering. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) between rhombohedral and tetragonal phases was confirmed by X-ray analysis. The materials show a strong composition dependence on the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties. The composition near MPB can obtain the optimal electrical properties; however, the electrical properties decay obviously over the boundary. The BLS-PT52 ceramics exhibit the enhanced electrical properties: d(33) = 361 pC/N, k(p) = 0.40, P-r = 24.3 mu C/cm(2), E-c = 1.94 kV/mm and an adjustable broad Curie temperature range from 366 to 467 degrees C. These results show that this composition is a promising candidate for high-temperature piezoelectric materials.
