摘要
The paper presents results of experimental study on the rheological behavior of ethylene glycol (EG) based nanofluids containing low mass concentration (up to 1%) of amorphous carbon black (C) nanoparticles. Rotational measurements were performed in shear rate range from 0.1 S-1 to 1000 S-1 and values of shear rate were planned on logarithmic scale. The oscillatory experiments were carried out with deformation range from 0.1% (0.001) to 1000% (10.000) with constant frequency of oscillation 1.0 Hz. The shear-thinning non-Newtonian behavior of these materials has been presented and confirmed in both types of measurements. It was presented that Herschel-Bulkley relation could be employed to model flow curves of C-EG nanofluids. Finally, thixotropic nature of carbon black - ethylene glycol was described. All measurements were performed in well controlled constant temperature 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure 0.10 MPa. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Inc.
