Fluid and kinetic numerical simulations of non-linear collisionless plasma dynamics

摘要：
The non-linear dynamics of a collisionless plasma is investigated with the help of fluid and kinetic (phase-space) numerical simulations in the case of the current filamentation instability of two counterstreaming electron beams. Finite time singularities, small spatial scale formation and the saturation mechanism of the instability are discussed.
