摘要
The switched reluctance motor (SRM) has been a promising alternative over other electric machines because of its simple structure and enhanced robustness. However, its general application has been limited due to its complex motor drive control and highly nonlinear behavior. This entails accurate motor modeling and simulation for the motor drive design especially in the case of a new motor design. This paper focuses on the development of a model for a novel modular stator segmented rotor (MSSR) SRM for integration with a motor drive system implementing simple phase current commutation. During the closed-loop implementation, a maximum speed of 3610 rpm and torque of 0.6313 Nm were reached under the no-load condition. The prototype can also operate at speeds up to 3610 rpm and loads up to 12.59 Nm.
