Free-radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate in the presence of stilbene(tricarbonyl)chromium and stilbene

摘要
The effect of stilbene and stilbene(tricarbonyl)chromium on the kinetics of free-radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate in bulk and solution and on the molecular-mass characteristics of the resulting polymer was studied. It is found that stilbene(tricarbonyl)chromium more actively inhibits the polymerization process than stilbene. In this case, neither stilbene nor its chromium-containing analog polymerized under free-radical initiation conditions.
