Analysis and optimization design of compact microstrip patch antennas loaded with shorting pins

摘要
Based on the cavity model method, proposed the theoretical analysis methods for rectangular microstrip patch antennas loaded with shorting pins, calculated the input impedance and return loss performances of a rectangular patch antenna loaded with a single shorting pin and a rectangular patch antenna loaded with two shorting pins, given the calculated results, and compared to each other. Based on this analytical method, using optimization technique, proposed the design method for this kind of antennas, and designed a rectangular patch antenna loaded with a single shorting pin which meets the mobile communications demands both in operating frequency and impedance.
