摘要
The inertia properties of the Cs2LiYCl6: Ce crystals were investigated. It was determined that the main reason of the millisecond afterglow of these crystals is the recombination luminescence caused by delocalization of electrons from the capture levels connected with the thermoglow curve peak at 208 K. The activation energy of this process amounts to 0.34 eV. Activator ions serve as centers of recombination for electrons. The minimal afterglow is achieved for the crystals having a better energy resolution. The concentration dependencies of the afterglow intensity and the radioluminescence yield are determined. The presence of Br- homologous anions in the lattice leads to afterglow reduction. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
