This paper proposes a compact multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with a small size of 31 x 26 x 0.8mm(3). The antenna consists of two radiation patch fed by microstrip and placed symmetrically. The T-shaped stub stretched from ground is applied to improve the isolation and to broaden the bandwidth. In order to reduce the interference from nearby band, band-notched function of the antenna is required. For achieving triple band-notched characteristics, C-shaped cutting slot and S-shaped slot on the patch are applied to provide the stop-band of WiMAX, WLAN and X-band for satellite communication. Simulation measurement is taken into optimization of the antenna performance, such as reflection coefficients, coupling between two feeding ports and radiation patterns. The results illustrate that the proposed UWB MIMO antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 3GHz-10.5GHz and low mutual coupling less than -20dB, which make it a pleasant candidate for modern UWB MIMO communication system.
