Primary Mycobacterial infection of the sternum is an exceedingly rare occurrence. We present a case of tuberculous osteomyelitis of the sternum successfully treated with surgical debridement and vacuum-assisted closure therapy. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
