摘要
A novel all-optical pulse multiplication approach enabling one to create a high-repetition-rate pulse train with both high energy-efficiency and no amplitude and timing distortion is proposed, which is based on a doubly-sampled spectral filter utilizing a fiber Bragg grating. As an example, a transform-limited ideal Gaussian pulse train with pulse width (FWHM) of 0.4 ps and repetition rate of 225 GHz is theoretically demonstrated from an initial 1-GHz one.
