Based on the diffusion controlled model the adsorption kinetics of surfactant solutions is described. The theoretical model, essentially a set of integral equations of the Ward and Tordai type, requires numerical solutions. Dynamic surface tensions of mixed solutions of alkyl dimethyl phosphine oxides (C10DMPO and C14DMPO) were measured by maximum bubble and drop profile analysis tensiometry. A comparison with the model shows that the data are quantitatively in agreement with the diffusion model.
