摘要
Nurse executives must embody the principles of transformational leadership to meet the leadership imperative of achieving high-quality outcomes in this ever-changing healthcare environment. This article describes the 4 domains of transformational leadership and provides pragmatic examples a nurse executive used to impact culture, outcomes, and the journey to Magnet(R) designation. The strategies were utilized to support enculturation of Magnet principles by engaging clinical nurses, nursing leadership, and colleagues. Helping clinical nurses understand the alignment of their existing practice and values to the Magnet standards was ultimately a successful strategy.
