An asymptotic theory of adverse pressure gradient (APG) turbulent boundary layers and redeveloping boundary layers beyond separation-reattachment is presented. The asymptotic formulation is based on Reynolds equations of turbulent boundary layer. Instead of employing any turbulent closure models the general scaling arguments and dimensionality considerations are used to derive the asymptotic limits of the solutions in different regions of boundary layer.
