High-pressure vapour-liquid equilibria (VLE) were measured for the binary mixture carbon dioxide + pentanol at 313.15 and 353.15 K. The pressure range under investigation was between 0.59 and 11.22 MPa. The experimental method used in this work was a static-analytical method with liquid and vapour phase sampling. The new experimental results are discussed and compared with available literature data. Measured and literature VLE data for carbon dioxide + I-pentanol system were correlated with the General Equations of State (GEOS), the Peng-Robinson (PR), and the Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) equations of state (EoS) using classical van der Waals (two-parameters conventional mixing rule - 2PCMR), Huron Vidal at infinite dilution (HVID), MHV1, and MHV2 mixing rules.
