摘要
A host of new developments, related to the fundamental programmable element for the field programmable devices of the future, have appeared on the horizon. Devices such as Single Electron Memory (SEM), new EEPROMs and FePROMs appear set to offer challenges to those who wish to continue with geometric scaling and other techniques such as multilevel storage to extend the life of established non-volatile programmable devices.
