Measurement and modelling of the flow behavior of thermoplastic polymers at low temperatures

摘要
In this paper the flow behavior of thermoplastic melts at temperatures near the solidification point is examined. With the presented measuring nozzle it is possible to determine the shear viscosity of the examined materials down to approximately 70 degreesC below the plasticization temperature. Additionally a measuring procedure is explained that enables the determination of a temperature-dependent yield shear stress. With the determined function, the flow phenomena in the injecting and holding phase can be described more exactly, so that a better calculation of boundary layer thicknesses and orientations are expected.
